IOMU 2025
The Future of Work : Prioritizing Health for Greater Productivity
Dear Colleagues, Occupational Health Practitioners, HSE and HR Professionals,
It’s hard to believe we are once again preparing for the annual Indonesia Occupational Medicine Update (IOMU), now in its 17th year. For 16 consecutive years, PERDOKI has consistently provided updates on the advancements in Occupational Medicine in Indonesia, benefiting not only occupational health practitioners but also extending to HR and HSE professionals. This reflects the growing importance of occupational health in enhancing workforce productivity—a strategic asset toward achieving Indonesia Emas 2045. We bring the Theme with 'The Future of Work: Prioritizing Health for Greater Productivity' to ensure the we put the workers as the big asset to the nation and the world.
I am delighted to announce that IOMU 2025 will be an International Conference, featuring collaborations with various global occupational health organizations including ICSOEM, AOEMM, the ICOH Scientific Committees (SCOM and Minosh), and MSOHD Malaysia. We are also thrilled that this year’s IOMU will feature both national and international experts, sharing insights on critical global occupational health topics such as climate change, OSH reporting, digitalization, and technology in occupational medicine, in addition to essential subjects like mental health, fit-to-work assessments, toxicology, and many other engaging topics.
Our committee is working hard to make IOMU 2025 a must-attend conference, filled with updates in occupational medicine through research findings, case studies, and systematic reviews. Both national and international participants will present their work via poster and oral presentations—and you can be a part of this progress.
Our goal is to elevate the practice of Occupational Medicine in Indonesia, positioning it as an essential part of the global advancements in the field. We encourage all colleagues, occupational health practitioners, HSE, and HR professionals to register soon, as spaces are limited according to the capacity of our selected venue.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the advisors of IOMU 2025 and to the organizing committee for their hard work. For our sponsors, this is a valuable opportunity to support the advancement of occupational medicine through IOMU. Here, you have the chance to be seen as potential partners in promoting worker health alongside leading experts and practitioners.
Thank you, and we look forward to welcoming you to IOMU 2025!

Indonesia Occupational Medicine Update 2025
Perhimpunan Spesialis Kedokteran Okupasi Indonesia (PERDOKI) or Indonesian Occupational Medicine Association (IOMA), as a professional organization that unites all occupational medicine specialists in Indonesia, has the responsibility to, among other things, provide updates on the latest knowledge to its members and stakeholders about developments in this field. The ultimate goal is to protect workers from health issues, ensuring the well-being of a healthy workforce.
In 2025, PERDOKI will hold the 17th Annual Scientific Meeting, also known as the Indonesian Occupational Medicine Update (IOMU), with the theme: "The Future of Work: Prioritizing Health for Greater Productivity." This theme is very relevant to the current situation in Indonesia, which requires workers with high productivity to achieve the vision of "Indonesia Gold" in 2045. The health issues that workers may face are complex. In addition to individual risk factors, such as lifestyle, age, and genetics, as well as environmental factors like air pollution, global warming, and emerging diseases, workers are also exposed to various potential hazards in their work environment, work processes, or from the equipment used. Therefore, effective preventive measures must always be implemented.
The IOMU event always aims to share knowledge about worker health issues and the preventive and control measures that can be taken for workers. However, for the 17th IOMU, PERDOKI is striving to hold an international-standard conference by inviting international speakers. The health issues faced by workers are not only an issue in Indonesia but are also regional and even global problems. Therefore, collaboration among experts in the field of Occupational Medicine needs to be fostered and enhanced to achieve the ultimate goal: a productive workforce.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the committee members who have worked hard to prepare for the 17th IOMU, which will be held in Bali, as well as to all the parties who have supported this effort. Organizing an international event is no easy task, especially with the limitations faced by PERDOKI.
I hope the 17th IOMU will run smoothly and successfully, and that it will provide significant benefits to the field of Occupational Medicine.
